Route 1 (From Phuket International Airport): Phuket International Airport → Thanyapura Resort / UWC International School → Khao Phra Thaeo National Park → Soi Thung Ka 1 → Bodhidhammayan Retreat Phuket (approx. 4-5 km).

Route 2 (From Phra Nang Sang Temple Intersection): Phra Nang Sang Temple Intersection → Baan Khok Wat Mai School → Baan Khanan Village → Baan Khuan Village → Soi Thung Ka 1 → Bodhidhammayan Retreat Phuket (approx. 6 km).

Bring your body and Mind into the tranquility of nature, with close supervision by a Venerable monk and teacher assistant. The meditation course is provided with a break and lunch, at no cost.

This allows practitioners to learn the basic principles of mindfulness and meditation, which help calm and strengthen the Mind, making it a driving force in your life. It enhances efficiency in work or studying, improves memory, and helps alleviate depression, as the Mind gains strength to stand firm and move forward.

Rules and Regulations

 

Applicants must review and understand the schedule and agree to fully comply with the rules before registering.

Rules During Training
  • Participants must observe “Noble Silence” and refrain from using any communication devices or talking to one another. Communication is only permitted with staff or designated supporters when necessary.

  • Large items, especially communication devices, must be deposited with designated staff.

  • Mobile phones and other electronic devices must be turned off to be free from internet connections.

  • Dress Code:

    • Wear a white top with a collar and sleeves only. (T-shirts and sleeveless shirts are prohibited.)

    • Clothing must not be sheer or tight-fitting.

    • Long pants must be loose-fitting and in suitable, muted colors such as white, beige, grey, brown, etc., for comfort during meditation.

    • Sleeveless tops and shorts are prohibited, including for those who are dropping off participants.

  • Hair and Appearance:

    • Women must tie their hair neatly; do not leave it loose.

    • Applicants with dyed hair can join, provided the color is not overly vibrant or trendy. Natural or soft shades are acceptable. Extremely bright or unnatural tones may disturb others seeking tranquility.

  • Water: All participants must bring their own reusable water bottle. Plastic bottled water will not be provided by the center.

The practice is in noble silence throughout the course.

The course structure is the same as the Journey of the Mind course with an additional day for Anapanasti Meditation focus. This is aimed to givegreater results, strength, mind power and skill to qualify for practichigh level meditation: Vipassana Meditation

Notice

Anapanasati Meditation Course is conducted by monks, nuns, and assistant teachers. Master Acharawee Wongsakon does not teach directly, but participants will listen to Master’s Dhamma discourses through pre-recorded audio specific to each course.

Registration Conditions:

  • Applicants with facial or head tattoos are not permitted to join the training as it may affect other participants.
  • Those with tattoos on other body parts (e.g., arms or legs) must dress modestly to cover the tattoos.

To register for the Anapanasati meditation course, write your intention stating:
“I would like to reserve a seat for the Vipassana Meditation Course from [start date] to [end date].”
This will allow staff to reserve your seat, enabling you to continue attending Vipassana meditation courses in the future.
