“I practiced Anapanasati for 1 day and felt so much peaceful. I tried turning off my phone, my speech, and practicing proper meditation, staying with myself, and observing my own mind. It was so good.”
- Thirada
“I came here to practice meditation for the first time. Normally, I could not sit in meditation for more than 10 minutes. Now I can sit for a long time. Thanks for all staff. The vegetarian food is very delicious.”

“I travelled from the UK to Hat Yai, Thailand specifically for this course. I am very happy with the result. I have now learned an understanding of what it means to "Meditate". I wish to come back and do the Vipassana course when I m ready.

Bodhidhammayan Retreat Hatyai, Songkhla

Located in Ban Pho Mo, Ban Pru Subdistrict, Hat Yai District, Songkhla Province, this meditation center was established on approximately 5 rai of land donated by Dr. Phrai Phatthano, a former Mayor of Hat Yai Municipality, along with partially completed structures in 2018. The center serves as a place of meditation and Vipassana practice for those in southern Thailand seeking liberation. It follows the Four Foundations of Mindfulness (Satipatthana Sutta) as taught by Master Acharavadee Wongsakon. Bodhidhammayan Retreat Hatyai, Songkhla has been meticulously designed to offer a serene and conducive environment. The layout separates accommodation areas, dining halls, and meditation spaces with natural bamboo and trees, creating clear boundaries. Stone pathways blend harmoniously with grassy lawns. The radiant lighting of the meditation hall highlights the grandeur of the wooden structure. The robust wooden pillars, crafted from rare large logs, lend the building a distinctive and impressive character.
